Former BFS Consumer Tire Education Director, Paul Chizeck, Joins DSP 20 Group
Virginia Beach, VA, January 19, 2010–Dealer Strategic Planning, Inc. (DSP), today announced that recently retired Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC., Director of Consumer Tire Education, Paul Chizeck has joined Dealer Strategic Planning, Inc. to assist in managing the growing number of tire dealer 20 groups and provide a resource for dealer training and education. Chizeck’s 34 year background in the tire industry includes store management, retail marketing, promotional support programs and various training and education responsibilities.
DSP Twenty Group was co-founded by Stu Zurcher, store owner and director on two industry associations, and Norm Gaither, a well-known tire industry financial consultant. Pat Brown, former Cooper Tire executive, joined the team early last year. The organization brings groups of 20 retail tire dealers together to share best practices, benchmark financial results, peer learning and encouragement for greater profits and satisfaction in their businesses.
“Adding Paul’s credentials to our business will help fulfill our goal to continually add value and fresh content for our dealer members,” said Norm Gaither. “Paul is highly respected among his dealers for providing consumer tire education programs and training designed to help them compete more effectively in today’s retail tire market.”
DSP 20 group is beginning its third year of operation and its challenge by members is to continually supply new tools to help give them an edge on their competition. “Training and education is recognized as a key factor in a successful retail operation. Paul Chizeck’s extensive background will help us provide specific training and education as needed by our members,” said Stu Zurcher.
“This is a great opportunity for me to continue to help dealers succeed in the challenging tire business,” Chizeck said. “As dealers get healthier financially, it’s good for the industry and their suppliers. I’m a strong believer in the 20 group concept and happy to join Norm, Stu and Pat in this beneficial business.”
Dealer Strategic Planning will continue to form new 20 groups as dealers become aware of this helpful business tool. For more information, contact: Pat Brown, VP Marketing, Dealers Strategic Planning, Inc., 419-420-5915 or [email protected]
