Virginia Beach, VA, February 10, 2009— Dealer Strategic Planning, Inc. (DSP), announces the addition of Pat Brown to direct marketing efforts for their Twenty Group organization. Brown, a tire industry marketing professional, lead Cooper Tire’s advertising, global branding and public relations areas for many years. As one of the industry’s first manufacturer representatives, she was elected to the TIA (Tire Industry Association) board of directors and has been active in the RMA (Rubber Manufacturer’s Association). During her successful career, Brown has written articles on how to maximize advertising effectiveness for tire dealers and delivered dynamic presentations on low cost advertising ideas, marketing to women, use of the internet and other timely topics for tire dealers.
DSP Twenty Group was founded by Stu Zurcher, store owner and director on two industry associations and Norm Gaither, a well-known tire industry financial consultant. The organization is a proven auto industry model where dealers come together to share best practices, benchmark results in a dynamic peer learning environment.
“We are excited to have Pat join our team of professionals,” said Norm Gaither. “Her background and experience are a perfect fit to help us offer the 20 group business improvement model to tire dealers who want to increase profitability.” Stu Zurcher added, “Pat’s expertise in marketing will help attract new dealers while providing an excellent resource for advertising and marketing assistance for our elite group.”
In 2008, the first full year of operation, Twenty Group dealers experienced a 50% profit improvement over the industry standard, according to Gaither. “In the depressed economic climate, those results are outstanding,” said Gaither. “Our dealers are convinced that by sharing best practices, marketing ideas and business management strategies, they are able to outsmart their competition.”
